High school preview index

Talk about the upcoming season in our forums.

Over the next week, we'll be previewing the upcoming 2009-10 season in Arizona high school hockey.

Starting today, with the release of our preseason polls, you'll get exclusive content available only at ArizonaRubber.com and via Arizona Rubber magazine.

The season officially starts tomorrow night, with Hamilton and Mesquite facing off in the Mixed Division, but our content will run through next Friday.

Keep an eye out for capsules on each team in the Pure and Mixed divisions as well as beakout previews of Desert Vista, Pinnacle, Notre Dame and Desert Mountain. Our weekly AHSHA Round Up will also return this season each Wednesday.

This page will be updated daily as new content is posted. Until then, here's what you need to know:

The association switched to two varsity divisions over the summer; those divisions were finalized earlier this month. Varsity A added five teams, and each team within that division now fields a roster made up entirely from one school. That division is now called the "Pure" division.

The remaining teams from Varsity B and C now make up the "Mixed" division with rosters pulling from more than one high school.

Elsewhere, a few familiar faces have returned as coaches this season.
